This tie commemorates the historic occasion of the 40th Anniversary of D-Day, 6 June 1944, and is a limited edition of 1000.

 The stripes in the design signify the wide white stripes which were on the wings of Alled aircraft to identify them when returning from sorties during the invasion.

The Burning Sword was the insignia of SHAEF (Supreme Headquarters Allied Expeditionary Force).

This tie was only  available in 1984.  A true collector's item!
