Each student chose an important community landmark, then individually hand-drew an Icon representing this landmark onto acid-free watercolor paper.  They outlined the drawing in black then brightly hand-colored with watercolor pencils.  These Icons have been put onto a hand-drawn (colored with acrylics on watercolor paper) map of their community – Walnut Creek and Alamo.
