This is the story of the Ming Quong Home Orphanage for Chinese girls located in Los Gatos, California, as told by Nona Wyman.  The Orphanage was on the Spreckles sugar estate and dated back to 1915.  It is a moving tale of the everyday routines and conflicts that molded Ms. Wyman.  This book has a connection to an Alamo School family, the Kwongs, whose grandmother was raised with Ms. Wyman at the Ming Quong Orphanage.
