Description

"French Quarter Flavor" is a giclee print on archival canvas with archival pigmented ink, and is expected to last 75 to 100 years without fading or color distortion. It is then stretched and framed to 40"x26.5".

The artist, Mike Bougher, is living with ALS. You might know it as Lou Gehrig’s disease.  His “Digital Paintings“ are created using a computer and contain no scans or photos. Because Mike is paralyzed from the neck down, his paintings are created using only his head. By moving his head side to side and up and down he can move the cursor on the screen. To click the mouse button, he activates a small switch next to his face by bulging his cheek "bullfrog style." Because Mike cannot sign his name, the painting is fingerprinted in the lower right corner.
