A “Mitford” Dinner & Readings for up to 6 

Mitford is a mythical town nestled beside the Allegheny Mountains in Southern USA providing the back drop for Jan Karon’s series of eight books about Father Tim, an Anglican priest in his early 60s. Food is a major part of any Ministry and Karon had so many requests for recipes that she produced a cookbook with the major recipes mentioned in her novels. 

Snuggled in our little “Mitford” like town of Ingersoll in southwest Ontario you will be hosted by “Father Tim and Cynthia” HUDSON. Appropriate reading will be given by "Father" Tim and the guests.

-Cynthia’s Oyster Pie and Salad with Orange and Scallions,

-Father Tim’s Ham and Scalloped Potatoes,

-Cynthia’s Glazed Rosemary Onions & Glazed Carrots,

-Puny’s Creamed Corn,

-Louella’s Cornbread

—ending with Esther’s famous Orange Marmalade Cake. AMEN!
