Joanne paints what she observes. Her oil paintings capture passing moments. A careful building up of color allows the imagery to emerge. The mood set in much of her work is contemplative and quiet. Her keen observation and imagination are used to create an atmosphere that is intimate and at times ethereal. Her paintings are expressions of her present experience and influenced by what has been remembered.
