Prentiss studied oil painting at Maine College of Art. Her work has been in many New England galleries, including Bayview Gallery. As primarily a plein air painter, she uses a limited palette with brush and painting knife to achieve rich pure colors and textures in her work. She feels joy being in nature and hopes, through paint, she can convey some of what she experiences. Recently, Prentiss has been creating landscapes on commission, finding particular pleasure in exploring personal views of others to incorporate into a painting.
