Mary Burke's rendering of the Blair Bridge, a 19th century long truss and arch wooden covered-bridge which spans the Pemigewasset River in Campton, NH, evokes a sense of serenity and solitude - as if the viewer is approaching in silence by canoe, or peering through the riverbank greenery. A fine addition to any home or office collection, or a perfect holiday gift.

She has been painting her entire life, but focused on her art upon retirement; for the past few years, her focus has been to paint New Hampshire's and Vermont's wooden bridges. She is a member of the Londonderry Artist Group, and the mother of Granite State Independent Living staff member Jill Burke. Her work is on display in venues in Londonderry, Derry and Windham.
