Description

Painted on a 2 foot by 4 foot rough-hewn board (with bark bordering both sides); this painting juxtaposes finely-detailed and abstract renderings of birds, butterflies, flowers and a tree trunk.

Hamsley is known as an orinthological authority in his home town of Rye, NH--or the Birdman of Rye.  He draws his inspiration for his photographs and paintings from the over 27 species of wildbirds that frequent his yard.

This unique piece is perfect for a family room, a camp, a child's room or even a classroom.
