The subject may be unclothed, but the identity of its creator is shrouded in mystery. The work was created by Charles, who was an inmate at the New Hampshire State Prison. After his release to a community "halfway house" residence, he was invited to attend a friend's family reunion in the North Country.

He was so grateful for the invitation, that he created this work of art--which appears to be oil pastel.  The back is inscribed, "Kris and Laurie, A gift of art from my heart,  Charles."

The front of the item is signed by the artist with "CJ 97'"  Overall dimensions are 9" x 9.5"
