This book reveals well-known American artist Robert Vickrey's search for spiritual revelation. For more than half a century he has created contemplative paintings that include the religious habit of the Daughters of Charity of St Vincent dePaul - and in particular the sisters' white, winglike headcoverings called cornettes.
