Formed in 1976 and led by then 14-year old Ari Up, The Slits were one of the first and most significant female punk bands. They made a few crude recordings, and then joined the Clash on their White Riot tour, firmly cementing their place in punk history.

The Slits debut album, Cut, was released for the first time on CD, on January 25th.
