Celebrating ten centuries of women's vocal ensembles -- from Hildegard von Bingen to the Dixie Chicks. . .

The chorus, whose last Manhattan appearance was a sold-out concert of Latin-American works and premieres at Merkin Hall in November, will perform music from the 12th Century Medieval composer Hildegard von Bingen to the very current Dixie Chicks, including music by famous groups like The Andrews Sisters (“Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy”) and the Bulgarian Women’s Choir, and also the lesser-known but renowned 18th Century Venetian Ospedali.
