Description

This signed soft maple and stoneware Ikebana vase is 7 inches high and has a 5 inch diameter. It exhibits the hand-turned lathe work and wheel-thrown pottery of artist David Tremaine. The pottery is set into the maple surround to make this a unique piece. The wood may be cleaned with a damp cloth.

This is a Live Event Item.

Special Instructions

This piece is especially suited to the Japanese Ikebana style of flower arranging. Ikebana is the art of arranging flowers to represent the elements sky, earth, and man in a well-balanced relationship. Ikebana can be distinguished from other floral design approaches by the asymmetrical form and the use of "empty" space in the composition.
