The charming windmill is the focus of the piece, but the artist painted a lot of little surprises that you discover as you study the work closely. It is framed in a dark wood with a linen inset.

Painting measures 11 x 14 inches. Rozalia Ciorogariu was born in Romania in 1922. She loved art at an early age, but was forced to push it aside during World War II. With her country under communist rule, she was forced to work 2 jobs to help support her children and had no time for hobbies like painting. In 1975, Rozalia immigrated to the United States and began painting again after a break of 40 years. She now paints for herself, her children, and for the love of art.
