Description

The creator of this large acrylic painting "Silurian Dreams" was inspired by traditional Australian aboriginal art when he painted this piece. An exciting abstract, this work is meticulously done with individual points of color in shades of orange and blue on a black field.

Special Instructions

Measures 24 x 36 inches. The title is derived from shell deposits on the sea floor in the Silurian age. This is one of a series of works. George Rhoads, a painter and sculptor, is best known for his large audiokinetic sculptures. Besides painting, Rhoads has spent the last 30 years designing rolling ball machines and wind sculptures for public and private places. This piece won First Place for Painting in the 2007 WSKG Art Auction Competition.
