Monotype is a print-making process in which a drawing or painting is made on a smooth, non-absorbent surface; the image is transferred to paper by pressing the two together, usually using a printing-press. Linocut in a process whereby a reversed design is cut into a linoleum surface. The raised surface is then inked using a roller, then pressed onto either paper or fabric, either by hand or with a press.
