Description

This lovely rendition of a horse's head is an etching by artist Nancy Ryan. Using traditional printmaking techniques, she has literally created a portrait that expresses the individuality of the animal she portrays. The wide off-white mat and the simple black metallic frame put the emphasis on the art.

This is a Live Event Item.

Special Instructions

Measures 10 x 12 inches fully framed. Etching is a printing process in which a needle is used to draw into a wax ground that has been applied to a metal plate. The plate is then placed in an acid bath. When the wax ground is removed, ink can be forced into the depressions left on the plate surface and a print can be made.
