Description

Stamps hand-made by the artist were used to decorate this wheel-thrown pottery, giving it a unique design. It's 11 inches in diameter and has a blue and brown layered glaze. Since it is lead-free and oven, microwave, and dishwasher safe, it is art you can use every day.

This is a Live Event Item.

Special Instructions

At 14, on a trip to England, the artist first began to dream of making pottery. She majored in Art Education at Buffalo State College and took several classes in pottery and, from there, took classes from a wonderful potter named Sue Cowing. Although she eventually became a computer programmer, she has continued to make functional pottery to be used and loved. Although not her profession, pottery is more than a hobby to this artist, sustaining her through some tough times, feeding the creative soul, and helping to fulfill a youthful dream.
