Description

This stoneware wall platter was wheel thrown and has pulled handles. The primitive geometric design is a replication of authentic Anasazi (ancestral pueblo) design from the Four Corners region of the United States. It was painted in underglazes using yucca and bamboo brushes. The overall size is 15 inches across with an embedded wire hanger. It is NOT food safe.

Special Instructions

Ede Walker has studied Anasazi pottery in New Mexico and Maya pottery in Belize with master potter Clint Swink of Colorado. These pots are honest and unpretentious and the potter's touch remains an integral part of the vessel. One can see and feel the energy of another potter's connection to the clay, making the maker and the viewer feel mutually connected to Mother Earth.
