This watercolor, titled "Tufted Titmouse", is one of a series of native birds in their natural settings. In this piece, a titmouse sits on a barren branch with a bright blue sky highlighting him. The artist mounted the piece in black archival board in a burnished gold frame.

Special Instructions

Measures 18 x 22 inches. The tufted titmouse is a small bird, about 5-6 inches long. It lives in the deciduous and mixed woods of southeastern Canada and the eastern United States. A pair may remain together year-round, defending their territory and perhaps joining a small mixed flock in the winter.
