This work is one of a series of 50 pieces titled "Sunspots". The patterns were inspired by pre-historic rock carvings and images of exploding galaxies from the Hubble telescope. This piece, titled "Moments Before the Big Bang", is composed of red, yellow, blue, and turquoise. Slade uses a combination of solid pieces of glass and powdered glass, creating a variety of textures within the piece. This work comes to life when displayed in front of a window or light source.
