Do you want your child to care about making healthful food choices and getting ample physical activity? Then get a group of parents from your child's class to bid on the New York Grown for PS 75 Kids fieldtrip!

This fieldtrip will begin with a farmers market scavenger hunt at the 115th Street and Broadway Market. Through looking at what is available and talking to farmers, the students will learn what is currently being harvested at NY farms. They will then purchase food for cooking and eating a lunch of vegetable burritos and salad which they will prepare at the EarthFriends Learning Lab at Teachers College.

While at EarthFriends the students also will participate in activities that will help them appreciate eating locally and seasonally. After lunch, recess will be a trip to the dance studio where the students will do a Pilates-based warm-up and then have time to work in groups creating and performing short dance routines. The day will end with the students planting some herbs they can take home.
