Each leaf on this Leaf Applique Vase is individually sculpted from a molten teardrop of glass applied to the surface of the hot vessel. When cold, the body is covered with tape resist and the leaves are sandblasted with a fine abrasive to achieve the satin, frosted finish. Vase is designed and individually hand-crafted by William Glasner and is dated and signed by the artist. Size: 10.5" x 10."

About the artist: Since his studio opening in 1978, William Glasner's work in glass has been widely exhibited and collected throughout the USA, in Canada, Europe, and the Far East. It is represented by four pieces in the permanent collection of the Corning Museum of Glass.
