Description
Stepping through the door of the Moby Dick Hotel is like stepping back in time to a simpler, gentler era. (Tour the hotel here.) Located in Washington State on Willapa Bay near the mouth of the Columbia River, the Moby Dick Hotel is a unique small inn built in 1930 and restored in the spirit of the 1930's with an eclectic, bohemian charm.
As you venture outdoors, you'll find a number of paths that ramble through the woods, out to the Bay, and through the inn's organic vegetable, herb and flower gardens. Quiet seating areas are nestled throughout the spacious property. Relax and unwind in the inn's Japanese sauna, situated in a wooded area overlooking the bay and the organic gardens. Or, enjoy a yoga class on Wednesday or Friday mornings. After you've worked up an appetite, dive into a plate of the fresh home-grown oysters from the inn's organic oyster beds!
The Moby Dick Hotel is convenient to Leadbetter Park and its wild dunes and beaches and to the historic Lewis & Clark Trail featuring museums, parks, and forts. In these beautiful natural surroundings, you can also enjoy birding, kiting, hiking, kayaking, canoeing, cycling... as well as mushroom hunting and whale watching!
The Moby Dick Hotel and Oysterfarm is the sister inn to the Tabard Inn in Washington, DC.
