Artist Name: Ann Baldwin

Artist Statement: For several years, aside from my more serious work, I have been creating light-hearted mixed media collages on the subject of women: our preoccupation with clothes, fitness, powers of sexual attraction, desire to look younger, ect. I used images and text from very old clothing catalogs or women's magazines to make fun of all this. My technique involes multiple layers of transparent fluid acrylic paint.
