Artist Name: Kay Carlson

Artist Statement: Last spring the roses in wine country were tangled and profuse because of the abundant rain. I did large paintings called, "The Glow of Being Rose". I used this tangle to entwine the pin. I scratched away oil paint around the neck in the form of throns and stems.
