Artist Statement: Airbrushed by the 13 year old artist from Mill Valley, California, Jake Kobrin’s “Catacone” includes highly detailed airbrush art and hot new Kustom Kulture painting techniques. The skulls were all freehand airbrushed with black over the silver base. Kandy red was sprayed over the entire pin. About 12 hours of work were put into the finished product. It was sealed with three coats of Vitrus high gloss clear coat. The best thing about kustom painting is recognizing the independent layers in the design, and being able to separate it for different looks.
