WORLD TRADE CENTER DRAWING, CIRCA 1991
Originally drawn in pencil by renowned architectural renderer Peter J. Rahill, this sepia version of downtown Manhattan is a limited edition printing.
A native New Yorker, Rahill was known not only for his illustrations in the Reader's Digest book ‘Treasures of America' but also for his highly detailed pencil rendition of buildings of historical interest, including the Hall of Fame of the Trotters in Goshen, New York, as well as the Dutch Church in Sleepy Hollow, New York.
The World Trade Center piece was originally drawn in 1991. Shortly following Rahill's passing on April 19, 2001, the extremely unfortunate event of world history led his five children to use this coveted family legacy to assist selected charitable organizations.
The work itself measures 11" x 14" and will be delivered matted and framed. On the back will be an inscription by the artist's daughter which reads "Thank you for helping to make Dreams Possible, this August of 2007".
