This sterling silver and wood chess set has a Shabbat theme. The pawns are designed as kiddush cups, the bishops as challah trays, the knights as wine decanters, the rooks as havdallah spice towers, the kings as Torah scrolls and the queens as Shabbat candlesticks. The 12.6" square wooden board is brown and cream and bears English letters and numbers. Sixteen of the highly detailed pieces are made of sterling silver and the other sixteen are made of gilded (gold washed) sterling silver. The pieces are made with the electroforming method and have black velvet on the bottom. The set comes in an elegant gift box.
