This book covers each subject in turn, is magnificently illustrated in color and examines in a clear and accessible manner the entire range of Black African Art from aesthetic and ethnological points of view. Laure Meyer, who was born in Africa, is an art historian and journalist. She has written numberous articles on African art that have been published in academic journals such as Archeologia and the Dessiers d'Historie, and also in the magazine L'OEil.
