About the Artist:

Lee Ransaw, a graduate of Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana and Illinois State University in Normal, Illinois served as Dean of Arts & Letters and Chair of the Art Department at Morris Brown College in Atlanta, Georgia. He  is presently President of the National Alliance of Artists from Historically Black Colleges and Universities as well as Adjunct Professor of Art Education at Spelman College. Lee’s work is numerous permanent museum and gallery collections including The National Civil Rights Museum in Memphis, Tennessee, The National Civil Rights Center in Montgomery, Alabama, The Odd-Fellow Building, The African American Research Library and The APEX Museum  in Atlanta, Georgia.
