About the Artist:
Currently Cleve Webber is an Assistant Professor of fine arts and gallery curator for the Warren Britt gallery at Alabama State University. Mr. Webber completed a BFA degree in Fine Arts from Jamaica School of Visual Arts – Kingston, Jamaica West Indies, and a MFA degree from Pratt Institute, Brooklyn, New York. Revival #2 is a self-conscious exploration of the human figure depicting the theme of dance. Here the human figure is seen temporarily arrested against a fluid backdrop of space and motion. As a concept , the source of light illuminated from within the canvas juxtaposed with a variety of lines, planes and transparencies pulls the viewer far within the strong edges of the picture plane. Webber’s work is widely recognized in the United States and abroad.Special Instructions
