About the Artist:
Anita received her undergraduate degree from Howard University in Washington, D.C., and her M.F.A. degree from Memphis College of Art. She is presently the Assistant/Curator for the Kansas African American Museum in Wichita, Kansas. She has been an avid quilter since 1983 and her quilts have been exhibited at the Renwick Gallery, Washington D.C., The Museum of Arts and Design; the Mint Museum; and the Cincinnati Museum of Natural History, just to name a few. Currently she is exhibiting one of her quilts in Threads of Faith, a national touring exhibition sponsored by the Women of Color Quilters Network.Special Instructions
