Winner of this auction will receive a certificate good for ONE NIGHT stay at the Caboose Motel in Titusville, PA. Rooms are available with one king size bed or two full size beds.
The Caboose Motel is on the tracks next to the Perry Street Station. Each of the 21 caboose cars has its own heat & air conditioning unit, television and telephone. Deck chairs are provided so you can relax during your evenings in the Oil Region. Located one block from downtown Titusville, and five minutes from Drake Well Museum and the 9.4 mile Oil Creek State Park bicycle trail.
Special packages with reduced fares for the train are available. There are many excellent restaurants within walking distance. Three of the cabooses have wheelchair ramps.

Just across the street from the Caboose Motel is The Oil Creek & Titusville Railroad with excursions "through the valley that changed the world" You'll travel back in time... just by arriving at our home station, an 1892-vintage freight station in Titusville, PA. Our two and a half hour trip will take you to where oil history began. Our tour guides describe the people and places that make up Pennsylvania Oil Country. Your family can share the fun of train travel and relive history. You'll find special attractions... like the open-air car -- weather permitting, you'll have a perfect view of the beautiful northwestern PA landscape. Bring your canoe! Our train will haul you upstream and leave you at Perry Street Station. Bicyclists can ride the 10 mile long bike path through Oil Creek State Park. Bikes can be rented Monday through Friday at Petroleum Centre by calling Oil Creek State Park at (814)676-5915. We'll pick you and your bicycle up at Petroleum Centre, Rynd Farm Station, or Drake Well Station if you want to shorten your trip. See a variety of wildlife from groundhogs to bald eagles, with ducks, deer, and blue heron, as well as the occasional black bear.Bring your address book. The OC&T RR operates the only working Railway Post Office in the United States. You can send a postcard or enjoy a snack during your ride. Maybe the postmaster will let you postmark your own card.
We're handicapped-accessible. All of our stations have floor-level boarding platforms and wheelchair ramps. Wheelchair-bound riders and their parties normally ride in the Railway Post Office car, where the view from the baggage doors is magnificent.Please note, this auction item is only for the Motel stay.
