I never imagined that I would write a book.  It seems just like yesterday that I was a senior at Kansas State University with a crazy dream of writing songs and making a record.  It was an even crazier idea to actually pack up my car and follow that dream to Nashville.  That dream started me down the road that has been filled with surprises, unexpected detours, pot holes and magnificent views. 

Over the years several people have commented that some of their favorite moments in my concerts have been stories about defining moments in my life and the stories behind the songs that I have written.  So, with the help of friends, I have compiled these stories into a book for you.

I hope that you will find encouragement as you read these pages.  Ultimately, I hope you read about someone who has come to realize through his own story that every journey has a purpose and that purpose was meant to lead us clsoer to God.
