Tracy Lambros Biography
Tracy Lambros, a native of Baltimore, Maryland received her Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in Photography from Maryland Institute College of Art in 1987. After graduation she moved to Manhattan where she worked professionally in photography and advertising and maintained a drawing and painting studio from 1988 to 1997. In late 1993, she left Manhattan for five months to live on Maryland's Eastern Shore where she concentrated on completing a series of drawings that she exhibited in New York City in 1994 and 1995. In 1996, while living in Los Angeles for a year, she was inspired by the land and seascape of La Jolla, California, which she began to paint. Her interest in land and seascape continued to be her focus after returning to New York and during subsequent travels. Her work was included in artwork shown via internet and video projection at the Conference on Women in Beijing, China in 1995 and more recently at an exhibition at the Aichi Prefectural Museum of Art in Nagoya, Japan. Her work is in private collections nationally and internationally.
