John Waters Biography
John Waters, Baltimore's own arbiter of bad taste, is hotter than ever with the hit Broadway production of Hairspray. Waters is widely regarded as one of the fathers of the indie film industry for films such as Polyester, Pink Flamingos, Hairspray, and Pecker. His photographs, which have been exhibited at American Fine Arts in New York and reviewed in the New Yorker, are created by splicing together stills from Hollywood movies photographed directly from the TV screen.
