Raoul Middleman Biography
Raoul Middleman, noted landscape, portrait and narrative painter, has been a member of MICA's painting faculty since 1961. During this period he has painted landscapes almost every day - most frequently in the Baltimore area, but also along the New England coast and in France and Wales. His work has been exhibited widely in solo, two-person and group shows nationally, including exhibitions at C. Grimaldis Gallery, Steven Scott Gallery, and Artshowcase Gallery in Baltimore; the Whitney Museum, American Academy of Design, American Academy of Arts and Letters, MB Modern Gallery, Ice Collection, Allan Stone Gallery, and Ingher Gallery in New York; the Boston Museum of Fine Arts and Worcester Art Museum in Massachusetts; and Hans der Kunst in Munich, Germany. His work is in numerous private collections and in public and corporate collections such as the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the National Museum of Art, and Corcoran Gallery of Art; ABC, Piper Marbury, and RTKL Associates; and many universities. He is represented by MB Modern Gallery in New York and C. Grimaldis Gallery in Baltimore.
