Doug Baldwin Biography
Doug Baldwin's duck sculptures are philosophical and often humorous commentaries on a wide variety of subjects and situations from intimate to global in scope. His work has been exhibited across the country and around the world - in California, Washington, D.C., Texas and Wisconsin and in Latvia, Scotland, New Zealand and the Czech Republic, among many other locales. He has won numerous awards, including the Max Beckman Fellowship from the Brooklyn Museum Art School, a grant from the Trust for Mutual Understanding, and a Media Arts Fellowship from Pittsburgh Filmmakers. His work is included in the collections of the Pushkin Museum in Moscow, the Lannan Foundation in Palm Beach, and the Moukina Museum in St. Petersburg, Russia. Doug recently retired after 24 years as a Ceramics faculty member at MICA.
