Susie Lipscher Biography
Susie Lipscher has been interested in ethnic textiles and clothing construction all of her life. She began selling vintage Japanese kimono after securing a bale of the garments in 1990. The colors and patterns amazed her. Plum Blossom Kimono expanded to include items constructed of kimono and obi, such as scarves, pillows and fabric correspondence cards. Her endeavor has allowed Susie to expose Americans to the beauty of Asian textiles. It provides her the opportunity to collect favorite pieces and meet intersting people who share her enthusiasm for lovely fibers and traditional methods of kimono construction.
