What better way to spend your little warrior-wannabe's big day than kicking butt at Chicago Martial Arts in Deerfield? Other than sparring with Shogun assassins, we can't think of a better afternoon. The event includes such parent-cringing activities as board breaking (what else?), as well as plenty of games and a terrific introduction to the tradition of taekwondo, which emphasizes quickness, flexibility, endurance, and power. All that, and it just looks cool. The party for up to 10 kiddos also includes t-shirts and a birthday cake.
