Description

The words "mujeres zapatista en resistencia" and its English translation "zapatista women in resistence" (sic) are stitched in yellow on the front of this black cloth tote bag. This movement speaks to the need for greater independence for women in one of the poorest states of Mexico. The bag is unlined with a zippered closure. The zipper appears to have been hand stitched into the bag with muted olive green thread.

This bag was sent to IFFGD in response to our request for a "gently used" handbag and a signed donation card. All of the bags are believed to have been used by the celebrities. Descriptions of the bags are based on visual inspection only and were not verified wtih a fashion expert. Some of the bags show more usage than others. Each one is sold "as is."
