Description

"My first impression of the heart I received was that it was a very alive piece of wood but I did not have time to work on it last year so donated a drawing instead. I continued to study to the wood during the spring and as I did the concept of the ancient Celts and a mythical beast grew in my mind. I wanted it to be very subtle so that the wood could remain prominent. I hope that it speaks to someone as it has to me. Enjoy!"

Trudy is a designer with a fine arts background.  She graduated from the State University of New York at New Paltz and the Art League in Alexandria, Virginia. She spent her years in Virginia working as a silversmith and exhibiting her paintings before moving to Vermont. The late 70s brought a shift in the focus of her creativity. She returned to early loves of theatre design and architecture, eventually opening her current business which specializes in residential remodeling. Occasionally she has a client that asks for a special Trompe L’oeil detail or a small mural which allows her to pick up her paint brushes again.
