Tour the set and weather center at the Fox 44 station. Get a behind the scenes look at how our weather is forecasted and presented to the public. The winner will get the chance to record part of the weather with Jason and get a DVD to take home!
Jason is the Chief Meteorologist at Fox 44 in Burlington Vermont.
He, his wife and two toddlers recently returned to Vermont after leaving four years ago to start a family and pursue his degree in meteorology which he earned from SUNY Albany in Albany, New York graduating Cum Laude. Born and raised in the snowy Northeast, Jason eventually moved to, and lived in in Central Vermont and New Hampshire for seven years where he voiced ski reports for SnoCountry Mountain Reports. In 2002 he moved to and fell in love with Burlington. In addition to broadcasting ski reports across the country, Jason has worked for several radio stations including WEQX-FM in Manchester, VT and WBTZ-FM in Burlington before making the jump to television. He started his meteorology career in Syracuse, New York forecasting weather from Rochester to Albany and everywhere in between while working for News10Now, a Time Warner 24 hour local news station. In the summer of 2007 he was recruited by Fox 44 to head up their brand new weather department for the Fox 44 News at 10. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family, snowboarding, hiking, camping, snowshoeing, traveling, and taking his kids to the many playgrounds around Burlington.
