Pee Wee Reese Autographed Hall of Fame Card

Item Number: 150
Time Left: CLOSED
Description
Pee Wee Reese played for the Brooklyn and Los Angeles Dodgers. This Hall of Fame shortstop played in ten All Star games and 7 league championships. Pee Wee was known for his stance for his friend, Jackie Robinson, the first black professional Major League player, that broke the color barrier when Jackie Robinson joined the Dodgers. Pee Wee refused to sign a petition to boycott Robinson and stood behind him pubically during their careers. "Pee Wee" did not receive his nickname because of his statue but rather because he was a marble champion as a by(a pee wee is a small marble). He like many professional athletes served in the Navy from 1943 to 1945. Pee Wee went on to become an announcer upon his retirement from baseball. He died August 14, 1999.
This is an opportunity to own an autographed card by one of the games greats!
