Description

Luke Donald was born in Hemel Hempstead England where he played his junior golf at Hazlemere & Beaconsfield Golf Clubs. He was Beaconsfield club champion twice, winning his first at age 15. Luke attended Northwestern University & he won the individual NCAA men's title in 1999, beating the scoring record formerly held by Tiger Woods. Luke turned pro in 2001 winning the Southern Farm Bureau Classic, becoming only the 11th rookie in PGA history tp earn more than $1 million in his first season. In 2004 he won the Omega European Masters and the Scandinavian Masters on the European Tour. Luke is now ranked 7th in the world.
