Chris Van Dusen's stylized illustrations enhance the book's actions through their bright colors and exaggerated appearances of the humans.  This framable original Gouache painting appears on pages 46 & 47 of "Mercy Watson Fights Crime" by Kate DiCamillo.  In this scene, Mercy (the pig) has thrown Leroy Ninker (the thief) from her back.  The illustration is approx. 6" x 12".  Also included is a copy of the book uniquely signed by the illustrator.
