Not just one single dance, the term "swing dancing" refers to a family of dances that evolved from 1920's Charleston into the Lindy Hop—also known as Jitterbug—and its progeny. GottaSwing teach the original steps and styles from the Swing Era which they have learned directly from the original masters like Frank Manning and Jean Veloz. Although they love doing performances and dance jams, they teach social swing dancing that is easy to use in real-life situations.

With four couples teaching at nine locations in the DC Metropolitan area, Gotta Swing can accommodate almost every schedule. No previous experience is required, and they actively welcome all ages at all our events.
