Description
Jay Kauffman is a Juilliard Graduate in classical guitar and he specializes in teaching children to play. Jay makes it fun and accessible to them as they progress through the levels, teaching them right away to play simple songs and to read music. For ages 7 and below he recommends a 1/2 hour lesson, and for ages 8 up, 45 minutes to an hour, depending on child's level of interest and attention span.
His usual rates for weekly lessons range from $50 for 30 minutes , $60 for 45 minutes, and one hour for $75.
Special Instructions
Jay teaches on the Upper West Side between 66th and 137th, and on the Upper East Side between 66th and 110.
Sometimes I have to charge a bit more if the location is out of the way and difficult for me to fit into my route. Please contact me about this trial lesson as soon as possible as my schedule is filling up quickly for this semester.
